Before you begin
These are some of the questions worth discussing early. The right answer depends on your site, your design and how much of the project has already been resolved.
You can start with an idea, preliminary drawings or a developed design. Tell us what you have and what you want to achieve.
Plans and design
Do I need plans before contacting Halyx?
No. You can start with an idea, preliminary drawings or a developed design. Tell us what you have and what you want to achieve.
Can I keep working with my existing designer?
Yes, we can discuss working alongside your existing designer. Share the latest drawings and let us know which parts of the design, approvals and documentation are complete.
Do you provide design services?
Halyx works with in-house designers and external design collaborators. The scope, appointments and fees depend on what your project requires and should be agreed before design work begins.

Budget and timing
How much will my project cost?
Site conditions, size, structure, finishes and external works all affect the budget. Bring a target budget to the first conversation, even if preliminary. Distinguish the construction allowance from the total project budget.
What do you need to prepare a construction price?
Complete drawings, specifications, selections and site information help establish a clearer pricing basis. An early estimate is not the same as a detailed construction quotation.
How soon can construction start?
A realistic start depends on design progress, documentation, approvals and builder availability. Share your preferred timing so we can discuss what needs to happen first.
How will I be kept informed?
Before construction, discuss your main contact, how progress will be communicated and how decisions or changes will be recorded.
